Our Story

In 2013, a crew of dedicated women started a barre journey together at Studio 3 Fitness. Suzanne Banker was part of that crew, and as she got certified and began to teach, the vision of owning a studio formed in the back of her mind.

In May of 2016, that vision sprang to life in an explosive way, and Suzanne was able to purchase Studio 3 Fitness in May of 2016. As the community grew, she searched for the perfect location to house these incredible women, getting stronger together in fitness and in life.

Berry Farms turned out to be the perfect fit. A neighborhood nestled just between Franklin and Thompson’s Station, it was the prime spot for inviting women from both communities to pursue fitness and friendship, no matter their age or fitness level.

In January of 2017, The Barre at Berry Farms officially opened its doors, and in summer of 2021, we joined spaces with our sister studio, Free Flow Yoga, just a few doors down. We’re so proud to be here. There are so many fitness studios, but there’s nowhere like The Barre – a place where women are welcomed in, no matter what. We’re not a crew that gets competitive about who’s “the best,” we’re a team that cheers for everyone in the room to be her best. Less of a gym and more of a sisterhood, The Barre is a studio where every woman can thrive.
